1.Gu dach’ ses gheneshu. | I went this way to a ridge. |
2.Dnigi beq’ hq’a ghashu. | I came upon some moose tracks. |
3.Nughełqeh. | I tracked them. |
4.Qatuldełi niłtu naqadetazdatl’. | The moose started to go in a circle, preparing to lie down. |
5.Qaniłch’eyi ank’uch’enh ba tanshu. | I went against the wind. |
6.Nalyu hq’u begh neshu. | I came to one lying down. |
7.K’eyich’a gheni beł k’danłtetl’. | I shot that bull moose. |
8.Ts’ił qeyan q’u beq’es eł k’danłtetl’, | I shot it only once, in its neck, |
9.ch’u chi’ełyuq. | and I killed it. |
10.Qudghełu. | I butchered it. |
11.Łuq’u nugheshdeghak. | I packed it all back. |
12.Yethdi Qayeht’ana ił luq’u suts’dultuk’. | Then, with all the villagers, we ate it all up. |
