My Friend and I Went Hunting | |

1. Ida ił shtuch’nidatl’. | My friend and I went hunting. |
2. Dnigi ghen yeł k’dałtetl’. | He shot a moose. |
3. ch’u chihuk’dalyuq. | (and) it pretended to be dead. |
4. ch’u beł dghuni yegh taltlet’. | and then it attacked him. |
5. ch’u begh chi’eł:yuq. | and I killed it while it was beside him. |
6. Ch’u udihdi sha chiyiłyuq. | And he gave the moose to me. |
7. Ch’u shik’u chik’ełyuq. | Then I too killed one. |
8. Yighen ba chi’ełyuq. | I gave that moose to him. |
9. ch’u ki chich’k’ełyuq. | and then we killed another moose. |
10. “Giniki ida ghun ghe chinłnah” | “This one is for your friend”….. |
11. shełni. | he told me. |
12. Ch’u ida ghe chi’e$#yuq. | And I gave the moose to my friend. |
13. Ch’u łuq’u niłghe chich’k’ul’ik. | And we killed them all for each other. |
